International Missionary Delegation Arrives in Yahukimo for Ngalik Language Bible Launch

Yahukimo, Olemah.com – A group of missionaries from the United States and Canada arrived in Dekai, Yahukimo, Papua Pegunungan Province, on February 6, 2025. They traveled on a Trigana Air Service flight from Jayapura to attend the launch of the Bible in the Ngalik language, scheduled for February 7, 2025.

This delegation includes key figures involved in the translation and ministry efforts for the Ngalik people. Among them are Ron and Silisa Ramsey, leaders of KAMA International from the United States, along with CMA Harv and his wife from Canada. Also present are Bas and his cousin, who have been praying for the Bible translation process. Additionally, Brad and his wife from the United States, who played a crucial role in the translation project, are part of the delegation.

The group was warmly welcomed by the organizing committee for the Ngalik Language Bible launch in Dekai. This event marks a historic moment for the Ngalik people, as they finally receive the Bible in their own language after a long translation process.

The launch of this Bible is expected to be a significant milestone in missionary work and the spread of Christian teachings among the Ngalik community. Furthermore, the presence of international missionaries highlights strong support for the spiritual and cultural development of the local people.
