Yahukimo, Olemah.com – The Acting (Pj) Regent of Ndugama, Elai Giban, SE.MM, arrived in Yahukimo on February 4, 2025, aboard a Trigana flight from Jayapura to Dekai. His presence at this event was a form of support for the launch of the Ngalik Language Bible, scheduled to take place on February 7, 2025.
On this occasion, the Acting Regent expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee and the Ngalik tribe community for hosting the event. "I came as an invited guest, but I am also here as part of the Ngalik tribe," he stated.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining security and unity to ensure the success of the event. "This event is by us and for us, so we must work together to maintain security in Yahukimo. Let’s collaborate to ensure the smooth running of this event," he added.
The Acting Regent was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Rode Nirigi, who also attended the event. Her presence demonstrated full support for this significant religious and cultural occasion for the local community.
The launch of the Ngalik Language Bible is expected to be a crucial milestone in preserving the Ngalik tribe’s language and culture while strengthening the faith of the people in the region.
